Volunteer Testimony Cynthia Puxty - Manila January 2023

Working as part of the Hair Aid team Manila 2023 was probably one of the most humbling and rewarding accomplishments in my near 40 year span of hairdressing. It was an incredible opportunity to teach a skill to help improve the lives of the students and their families. To see the stages of learning… the apprehension at first, then the keenness and determination of each student to learn and graduate, was absolutely amazing and touching. I totally would encourage you to do it too! The people you meet, the friends you make and the things you learn will live with you forever. The sense of satisfaction in the knowledge that you have made a difference in peoples lives is the best feeling ever.
